                         Process

Wax casts are taken from each breast. A paper sheet is pulled and pressed. It is then wrapped around a wax cast and firmly formed around it. The paper take on the form of the wax cast while drying. Once dry it is ready to install. A variety of pulps are used for sheet formation: Indiana Sweet grass, corn husks, Iris, Day Lilly, all foraged from our back yards in Bloomington, Indiana. The pulp will dictate coloration of finished cast.

Installing Casts

The format of the installation is decided on jointly by the entire group. Shape, size and formation of the installation will depend on how the group understands the location and its communal use. Typically these decisions will happen on location. Below the installation process at “Tabor/Bruce/Puzello Architects”.
